Veronika Brázdová holds a degree in physics from Charles University Prague and a PhD in theoretical physics from Humboldt University Berlin. Her research brought her to the National Institute for Materials Science, Japan and to the University of California Los Angeles. As a postdoctoral researcher at University College London she specialised in density functional theory simulations of complex materials and in parallel programming. She is co-author of the textbook Atomistic Computer Simulations: A Practical Guide.

Veronika is a qualified UK and European patent attorney. She has worked with startups, researchers, industry partners and local attorneys in the UK and overseas. She has conducted IP audits both for Innovate UK and directly for startups. Her approach is grounded in technical understanding and shaped by commercial relevance.

In her free time she sings and plays her harp.
